Wenn ich euch das Video unten anschaut, würdet ihr niemals denken, dass diese Frau erst 26 ist. Sara Geurts wurde schon früh mit Dermatosparaxis Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (eine seltene Hautkrankheit) diagnostiziert. Während sie sich als Teenager versteckte und ihren Körper hasste, versucht sie heute Menschen davon zu überzeugen, dass es nicht dieses EINE Schönheitsideal gibt, sondern, dass unsere Unvollkommenheit den Reiz und die Schönheit eines jeden Menschen ausmachen. Heute posiert Sara stolz, denn sie hat aus ihrer größten Unsicherheit ihre bewundernswerte Stärke gezogen.

Ich melde mich mit einer neuen Reihe: Sex and the City Fashion! Episode by Episode! Freut ihr euch so wie ich?! SATC ist ein Klassiker für mich, den ich immer wieder schauen kann (nicht die Filme). Auch wenn es natürlich überzogen ist und auch viele Outfits kaum tragbar für normale Frauen.

The weather seems to be weird these days. On the one day it’s sunny and warm and on the next day it’s just depressingly cold and rainy. Today is the rainy one… I am sitting in front of a window at a café. I should do some work stuff, writing a draft, but i can’t help it. The gray sky is floating my mind. Melancholic music from a playlist supports that and my thoughts sprout where the grayness was. Do you have sometimes these thoughts, that all and everything around you isn’t real? Like my Surrounding is just a Filmset. All the people are extras and I have the main role but can’t feel the character. I try to imitate others to fit the role but it doesn’t. I try to satisfy but never feel good enough. I can never be this person. I am someone else… ain’t I? I don’t know…
Ok. i have to work. Reality… come on… fix these thoughts…

By reading Franka Potente’s „Zehn“ (Ten, like the number – 10 shortstories, which taking place in Japan) in a small adorable café at potsdamer platz I realized how precious these rare moments in my life are. Living in Berlin can freak you out sometimes. It’s like living in a big tornado. So many things to do, so many people to meet, so much to take care of… You hurrying from one job to another, from one appointment to the next meeting. Sometimes you can get exhausted by all the trouble, but there won’t be no escape if you are not able to slow yourself down every once in awhile.
The clear and straightforward style of Franka’s writing confirms with my imagination of japanese people. Despite her simple explanations of totally ordinary moments she makes me feel like being with those people. Standing next to them, watching without any prejudices, curious how they solve their problems with their cultural background.
Raindrops slide down the smooth surface of the window when I look outside. The window is beautifully decorated with plants in cups and jars.
And just for a moment the pull of my everyday-tornado stopps. All the noise is blended out. My thoughts fly to the sky, oust the grey clouds. In this rare moments you feel alive and you feel how precious life is. Don’t compare to others. Don’t fake anything. Just try to stop for a moment and breath once in a while to don’t get lost in your personal troublesome tornado which you call life.
